And everyone needs a community that believes in them - their worth, their dignity, their possibility. We’re grateful for the multitude of individuals & partners working alongside us to create a community where this is true for all of our neighbors.

Fustini’s recently launched Fustini’s Cares, an initiative that partners with local nonprofits in Holland, Ann Arbor, Petoskey, and Traverse City to support their work in providing access to healthy food options. This month, Fustini’s has chosen to support our Food Club!

This month, Community Action House and First United Methodist Church of Holland (FUMC) will celebrate the fourth anniversary of Refresh: Hygiene and Hope, a joint effort to provide access to services that increase dignity, and eliminate housing barriers for neighbors experiencing homelessness.

Celebrating Black History Month with I Am Academy

Last week Black History Month began. A time to honor the achievements of so many Black leaders, creatives, and professionals. As has been our practice these last several years, we’re highlighting a key partner institution as a part of this month of celebration and awareness.

Local agency Community Action House was awarded $75,000 in funding through Chick-fil-A’s “True Inspiration Awards,” a nationally competitive grant program that distributes $5 million to innovative nonprofit organizations across the country each year.

How Two Groups Plan to Provide Thanksgiving Meals for Those Facing Food Insecurity

Happy Thanksgiving! Every year, we provide extra Thanksgiving grocery assistance, offering additional support to the families we serve. Today at Community Action House, we're reflecting with gratitude on the community effort that makes this possible.

WHTC & Action House - Thanksgiving Initiative

WHTC is spreading the word about our Thanksgiving fundraising efforts. This year, we’re preparing to serve up to 1,900 families with Thanksgiving groceries at the Food Club & Opportunity Hub.

Holland Farmers Market Hosts Food Drive for Action House

The Holland Farmers Market is once again hosting their “Thanks For Giving” food drive, collecting non-perishable items to support our Thanksgiving grocery service.
