Action House raises $1,139 for I Am Academy!

Challenged by events of the past several years, in 2021 Community Action House committed to taking active steps to create a more just, inclusive community. As a part of this effort, we began dedicated shopping days at the CAH Resale Store, donating a portion of sales to different organizations on the frontlines of addressing racial equality.

"Donations of adaptive equipment increase accessibility."

Our partners at Gentex and the Holland After Hours Rotary Club recently gifted us a new wheelchair and motorized shopping cart for guests to use at CAH’s Food Club and Opportunity Hub.

Stamp Out Hunger with the Annual Postal Food Drive!

As a part of the National Association of Letter Carriers “Stamp Out Hunger” food drive, a national campaign each year, the post office will team up with their local community to gather food donations for shelters, food pantries, and other agencies which offer assistance to those in need on Saturday, May 21.

This function serves as the biggest event for organizations like Community Action House, Gateway Mission (formerly Holland Rescue Mission), Resilience: Advocates for Ending Violence, and Salvation Army to receive much-needed supplies for their food pantries.
